Diesel engines can be much more complicated than gasoline engines. Diesel engines completely rely on their fuel system due to them not having ignition systems like gasoline engines. Because of this they are serviced differently than gasoline engines. It is important to replace the fuel filters and air filter every 15,000 miles. Every 30,000 miles a diesel fuel injection service should be performed.
Ford Powerstroke 6.0 03-07
At Armstead Automotive we specialize in repairing and maintaining Duramax, Powerstroke, Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, Mercedes Benz and more...
Technicians at Armstead Automotive are specially trained on the Ford 6.0 Powerstroke which is found in Ford light duty and medium duty trucks in the years of 2003-2007. The 6.0 Powerstroke cost Ford hundreds of millions of dollars in warranty repairs and leading to a recall and repurchase of at least 500 trucks. We are familiar with all of the recalls and TSB's. This engine has a major problem with its EGR valve. To keep the valve operating properly we recommend BG's EGR service every 15,000 miles. This service cleans carbon from the EGR valve and the intake manifold to keep the EGR valve from sticking.
